Rhythmic Variations of Baiao - Wallace Seixas



Baião is a musical genre and emerged in the 40s, in the northeast of Brazil, specifically in the state of Pernambuco, Ceara, Maranhao and Bahia. The first known song is titled "Baiao", of Luis Gonzaga and Humberto Teixeira.
Rhythm genre "forro", the Baiao has the characteristics of rhythmic accentuation between the end of the first half and beginning of the second. in general, the second note is always more accentuated the first.
Traditional binary 2/4 bars. Most use 2/2 and 4/4 bars among other compounds bars. Touched slow is on the way of "Xote" which is another rhythm.
